This quote from the Kenyan writer resonates deeply within the essence of this exhibition. “Beyond Borders” takes this idea as a starting point, exploring how African artistic creativity transcends borders, creating a common visual language that speaks to everyone, beyond differences. It is a true ode to African creativity that goes beyond geographical, political, and cultural constraints. The artists gathered for this exhibition bring their unique perspective, challenging pre-established boundaries to share captivating and exploratory visual narratives. The exhibited works embody the diversity and uniqueness of African experiences and how they transcend both physical and symbolic borders.<\/span><\/p>\n

This collective exhibition is an artistic celebration of African diversity that goes beyond geographical and cultural limits. It seeks to surpass the borders defined <\/span>on a map to explore the richness of contemporary artistic expressions from Africa. You will discover the works of artists such as Soly Ciss\u00e9, Aliou Diack, Kendell Geers, Jems Koko Bi, Abdoulaye Konat\u00e9, Siriki Ky, Mohamed Lekleti, Adjaratou Ou\u00e9draogo, Fathiya Tahiri, and Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my Toguo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of these artists contributes uniquely to the cultural and artistic mosaic of the continent. South African artist Kendell Geers, provocative and iconoclastic, transcends artistic boundaries, while Abdoulaye Konat\u00e9 weaves unique visual narratives through monumental textile works. Siriki Ky’s sculptures explore the connection between tradition and modernity, while Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my Toguo engages the viewer with a critical perspective on global issues.
