Mustapha Hafid
Mustapha Hafid is a leading figure in modern Moroccan art. After distinguished studies at the Fine Arts School of Casablanca and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he turned to abstraction, inspired by the Polish avant-garde. Upon his return to Morocco, he became a key player in the emergence of contemporary Moroccan art. His work, characterized by great freedom of expression and a rich palette, is marked by the influence of Expressionism and Fauvism. Hafid played a crucial role in developing the teaching of visual arts in Morocco and contributed to the international recognition of Moroccan art.
