Philippe Dodard

Philippe Dodard, born in Port-au-Prince in 1954, is a leading figure in contemporary Haitian art. A multidisciplinary artist, he masters painting, sculpture and graphic design, drawing inspiration from the cultural and spiritual traditions of his country. His work, marked by a fusion of symbolism and abstraction, addresses themes of identity and spirituality. Exhibited internationally, he has also collaborated with designer Donna Karan and directs the National School of the Arts, training new generations of Haitian artists.
