PARABOLES, a retrospective dedicated to Mohamed Mourabiti at La Galerie 38 Casablanca, traces nearly four decades of artistic creation, from 1988 to the present day. Deeply rooted in the landscapes and cultural memory of Morocco, his work explores the intricate relationships between matter, territory, and spirituality. From the architectural forms of Marrakech to the earthen landscapes of Tahannaout, the artist progressively transforms familiar elements of everyday life into refined, symbolic forms. Informed in particular by the philosophy of Ibn Arabi, his paintings invite contemplation of the visible and the invisible, presence and absence. This exhibition reveals the remarkable coherence of an artistic quest in which the material world becomes the point of departure for an inward, contemplative journey.
