MOHAMED THARA

Mohamed Thara was born in 1972 in Fez, Morocco. He lives and works between Bordeaux and Paris. A multidisciplinary artist, he holds a Higher National Diploma of Plastic Expression from the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts (DNSEP) and a doctorate in aesthetics and art theory from the University of Bordeaux Montaigne. Trained in photographic techniques at the school of the National Institute of Audiovisual in Paris (Ina sup) and at the professional film school Arscipro in Paris.

A multi-talented painter, photographer, video artist and performer, he seeks to extend the limits of painting with a very personal pictorial work that questions the ambiguity of representation. His performances question the “living together” and give the image the function of analyzing the world in which we live. Through his videos, between tension and balance, he gives birth and dies, he questions the imminence of death to understand the fragility of life.
