It is a true ode to African creativity that goes beyond geographical, political, and cultural constraints. The artists gathered for this exhibition bring their unique perspective, challenging pre-established boundaries to share captivating and exploratory visual narratives. The exhibited works embody the diversity and uniqueness of African experiences and how they transcend both physical and symbolic borders.
This collective exhibition is an artistic celebration of African diversity that goes beyond geographical and cultural limits. It seeks to surpass the borders defined on a map to explore the richness of contemporary artistic expressions from Africa. You will discover the works of artists such as Soly Cissé, Aliou Diack, Kendell Geers, Jems Koko Bi, Abdoulaye Konaté, Siriki Ky, Mohamed Lekleti, Adjaratou Ouédraogo, Fathiya Tahiri, and Barthélémy Toguo.
Each of these artists contributes uniquely to the cultural and artistic mosaic of the continent. South African artist Kendell Geers, provocative and iconoclastic, transcends artistic boundaries, while Abdoulaye Konaté weaves unique visual narratives through monumental textile works. Siriki Ky’s sculptures explore the connection between tradition and modernity, while Barthélémy Toguo engages the viewer with a critical perspective on global issues. The exhibition offers an emotional journey through the powerful creations of Soly Cissé, the exploration of African identity through expressive sculptures by Jems Koko Bi, and the poetic and multifaceted perspectives of daily scenes painted by Adjaratou Ouédraogo. Aliou Diack, a Senegalese artist, expresses himself through material experimentation, while Mohamed Lekleti explores the invisible and the unspeakable through his drawings.
