MOHAMED HAMIDI
Mohamed Hamidi, born in 1941 in Casablanca, is a major figure in the plastic arts of the post-colonial Moroccan era. His work embodies the history of modern Morocco. He was a major actor of the Casablanca School, recognized for having proposed one of the most successful aesthetic models of the post-colonial era and for having defined a new plastic aesthetic from an ancestral repertoire of forms specific to the Moroccan heritage.
