Vincenzo Marsiglia

Vincenzo Marsiglia was born in 1972 in Belvedere Marittimo, Italy, and currently lives in Soncino, in the province of Cremona. After studying at the Istituto Statale d’Arte of Imperia, he continued his training at the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, where he obtained his Master’s degree in Painting.

Marsiglia’s works center around a four-pointed star, which, over time, has become his distinctive signature, a veritable “logo” of the artist. His artistic approach is characterized by an obsessive composition, where this symbol combines with various materials such as fabric, felt, sequins, and ceramics. In his creations, the rigorous and balanced rhythm and form evoke the influence of masters of abstract art and minimalism.

However, in his most recent works, the artist integrates technological instruments, thus fusing the pictoriality of his early signs with new tools. These works combine a contemporaneity stemming from communication technologies with a desire not to produce a concrete and fixed object, but a constantly evolving artwork. Through interaction with the viewer, the artwork achieves its completion in a dynamic process of relation and transformation, thereby reducing the distance between the artistic object and the user.
