As part of the exhibition “Les choses, une histoire de la nature morte” (Things, a history of still life), which runs from 12 October to 23 January 2023 and was conceived by the art historian Laurence Bertrand Dorléac, the Louvre Museum is hosting a monumental work by the artist Barthélémy Toguo under its Pyramid, Le Pilier des migrants disparus. This installation, which invites us to reflect on the notion of exile, on the perilous trajectories of women, men and children who flee from tragedy with the hope of embellishment, is to be discovered at this time! An opportunity to appreciate the work of this committed Cameroonian artist in an emblematic heritage site.
